At the Pumpkin Patch

Monday, October 27, 2014

This weekend, Josh and I met David, Andrea, and Wyatt at the pumpkin patch at Wheeler Farm. We happened to take our engagement pictures at this farm three years ago (my how time flies) so it was fun to revisit and go back in time. It was a blustery fall day, busy with lots of families there to pick out their Halloween pumpkins. Wyatt didn't seem to understand what he was supposed to do with all the pumpkins around. He tried sitting on them, kicking them, throwing them and then got bored and resorted to playing with the Halloween lights around the patch.

Then we walked around and looked at all the animals, petting the horses and terrorizing the rabbits. But I think the best part was Wyatt finding entertainment in the seemingly unentertaining things. Like finding the trailor and getting up on it and dancing around. Or the sticks on the ground that he used for a swordfight with Josh. Kids are pretty entertaining.

We then retired to David and Andrea's place where she made some amazing potato soup and bread with pumpkin pie for dessert. It's pretty awesome having family around, especially when that family makes you great food.
